"You cannot influence who you do not inspire"
Years of Rich Experience. One Through-Line.
It all started when I built a graphic design program at Maranatha High School from the ground up. I designed the curriculum, sourced the equipment, and taught the first class. That program still exists today. That is the earliest version of what I do: build something from nothing and make it last.
Since then, I have served institutions across healthcare, higher education, faith-sector media, and technology. I spent nearly a decade at Loma Linda University Health across two tenures: returning by choice, not by default. I worked directly with the company Founder and CEO of ESRI, producing designs for a 15,000-person global conference. I led communications for Discovery Church with direct reports, shaping the language and leadership culture of the organization alongside its Senior Leadership Team.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Art, and Master of Education in Educational Technology from Azusa Pacific University. I am a Workshopper Master: the highest facilitation credential from AJ&Smart, the firm that popularized and evolved the Google Design Sprint. I am an ICF-certified Life Purpose and Career Coach with more than 15 years of active practice. I am the author of four books. My latest book being Hero Unleashed: The Definitive Guide to Helping Men Transform into Exceptional Husbands, Fathers, and Leaders.
I am a husband, father, grandfather, and follower of Jesus Christ. The work I do professionally and the work I do at home come from the same place: a conviction that leadership is not a title, it is a practice. And it starts long before anyone else is in the room.
The Classroom, the Track, and the Tribe
My career began in the digital realm as a graphic and web designer. Pixels and front-end interfaces were my playground, but the classroom quickly became my stage. Guiding young minds through the maze of knowledge wasn’t just about teaching. It was about sparking curiosity and igniting understanding.
In 1996, I built a graphic design program at Maranatha High School from the ground up. I designed the curriculum, sourced the equipment, and taught the first class. That program still exists today, nearly 30 years later. That is the earliest version of what I do: build something from nothing and make it last.
I didn’t stop at the whiteboard. I took on the challenge of leading sports teams, coaching cross country, basketball, and track & field. This was more than tactics. It was about building a tribe, fostering camaraderie, and navigating the complex dynamics of a team. I discovered a superpower I didn’t know I had: the ability to develop a path forward where one didn’t exist. Problem-solving became my playbook, not just for the game, but for life.
Family and the Symphony of Leadership
Family life added a new dimension to my skills in leadership and problem-solving. Being a husband and father taught me that every challenge was an opportunity to weave love, patience, forgiveness, and understanding into our lives. It was about building a solid foundation of purpose, discipline, listening, trial and error, and support.
As I matured in my gifts, skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities, I took charge of various initiatives, projects, and teams. I thrived in collaboration, brainstorming, and orchestrating the collective genius of a group towards a common goal. Leadership to me isn’t about delegating tasks; it’s about orchestrating a symphony of talents toward a common goal.
As a husband and a father, the work I do professionally and the work I do at home come from the same place — a conviction that leadership is not a title, it is a practice. And it starts long before anyone else is in the room.
Faith, Stewardship, and the Entrepreneurial Call
My spiritual foundation as a follower of Jesus Christ is the core of who I am. For me, faith isn’t about rituals. It’s about a relationship with the Creator, the King who desires connection with His creation.
At this stage in life I couldn’t resist the call to entrepreneurship. I dove right into the business world as the owner of a design agency. Navigating the complexities of market, brand, and employee dynamics sharpened my vision. Steering that ship required problem-solving, adaptability, and a commitment to values that go beyond the bottom line.
Insight, Strategy, and Influence
I eventually found myself fascinated by research and facilitation. Understanding people and their behaviors is an adventure. It is an adventure that helps individuals and groups unlock the potential already inside them.
When I step onto a stage as a speaker, words become my paintbrush. I’m not just talking. I’m forging a connection that sparks change because I’ve lived it personally and intimately. I create mental pictures of possibility and empowerment for those navigating the distance between who they are and who they are meant to be.
I am not just a motivational speaker or a turnaround consultant. I am someone who has spent years at the intersection of identity, leadership, and culture, helping individuals and organizations close the gap between aspiration and reality.
The Way I Work
Every engagement I take on starts in the same place.
Not with the strategy. Not with the deliverable. Not with what you want to build.
But with who you are.
I have spent 30 years watching leaders and institutions try to build from the outside in. They hire the designer before they know what they stand for. They build the team before they know what they believe. They write the values statement before they have done the honest work of asking whether those values are actually true.
The result is always the same. Something that looks right on the surface but does not hold under pressure. A brand that feels borrowed. A leader who performs rather than leads. A culture that exists on paper but not in practice.
My work is excavation before it is construction. I go underneath: past the talking points, the org charts, and the polished presentations to find what is actually true. What you genuinely believe. What you will not compromise. What you are actually here to build.
Over 30 years of working with leaders and institutions, I developed a 10-attribute identity framework that guides most of what I do. It is not a personality test. It is not a checklist. It is a structured process for excavating what is already true about you and making that foundation strong enough to build on.
Most of the problems I am called in to solve are not strategy problems. They are foundation problems. An institution that cannot articulate its brand identity has an identity problem. A leader who cannot lead with consistency has a conviction problem. A team whose behavior does not match its stated values has an alignment problem.
The framework I use addresses all three. Because at the root, they are all the same problem.
You cannot build something that lasts on a foundation you have never examined.
Why I Do This Work
Most institutions do not have a strategy problem. They have a people problem.
The mission statement is written. The values are posted in the lobby. What is missing is the bridge between what the organization says it believes and what the people inside actually experience.
That gap is where I work.
Education & Credentials
Bachelor, Art
Azusa Pacific University
Where it started. A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the institution that also gave me my graduate degree and the values that have governed every professional decision since. The design foundation built here has never been separate from the leadership and culture work that followed. It is the reason I can sit with an institution and govern brand identity at a systems level, not just a surface one.
Masters, Educational Technology
Azusa Pacific University
A graduate degree is not just a credential. It is a way of thinking. My M.Ed. trained me to design learning systems, not just deliver content: how people receive information, process it, retain it, and apply it. That thinking shapes every workshop I facilitate, every coaching program I design, and every brand framework I build. The institution it came from matters too. APU formed me before I ever worked for anyone else.
Life Purpose and Career Coach
Life Purpose Institute, ICF Affiliate
I have held this credential for more than 15 years and maintained an active coaching practice the entire time. The Life Purpose Institute is an ICF-affiliate program, which means the coaching methodology meets the International Coaching Federation's professional standards. The credential matters less to me than what it represents: a structured, ethical practice for helping people answer the hardest questions they carry. I have been doing this work since 2009. It is not a side offering. It is the spine of everything.
Design Sprint Masterclass
AJ&Smart
The Google Design Sprint is the most widely adopted rapid problem-solving methodology in the world. This certification confirms I am trained to run a five-day sprint process that moves a team from a defined challenge to a tested solution, with structure, speed, and outcomes a standard meeting cannot produce. I use it with institutional teams that are stuck and need to move.
Workshopper Master
AJ&Smart
This is the highest facilitation credential issued by AJ&Smart, the firm that created the Google Design Sprint and trains the world's leading workshop facilitators. It is not a certificate of completion. It is a demonstrated mastery of how to design and run rooms that produce real decisions. I earned this because facilitation is not a soft skill in my practice. It is a named professional specialty with a methodology behind it.
Authentic Facilitation
Co.School
Most facilitation training focuses on process. Authentic Facilitation focuses on the person running the room. This credential from Co.School trained me in the human-centered side of facilitation: how to hold a group through tension, how to listen at a level that surfaces what people are not saying, and how to create the conditions where honest dialogue becomes possible. It is what makes the methodology land with real people in real rooms.
Google UX Design
Coursera
Formal training in the full UX design process: user research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and iterative design. This credential sits alongside nearly a decade of active UX research and design work at Loma Linda University Health, and more than a decade of UX-adjacent work at ESRI and Claremont McKenna College. The course validated methodology I had already been practicing at institutional scale.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
Coursera
The CSPO is the formal Agile credential issued by the Scrum Alliance, the body that governs Scrum practice globally. It confirms that I operate not just in traditional project environments but in Agile and iterative ones, where requirements evolve, teams work in sprints, and the product owner is accountable for prioritization and stakeholder alignment. For institutions navigating digital transformation, this credential means I speak the language of how modern product and web teams actually work.
LinkedIn Certificates
LinkedIn Learning
Ongoing professional development across communications, leadership, technology, and design. I do not believe learning has an end date. These certificates represent a consistent practice of staying current, staying curious, and applying new thinking to a 30-year foundation. The specific credentials span UX, project management, AI tools, and organizational communications.
"He is an extremely valuable advisor to me and I know that my companies as well as personal life have been enhanced because of Anthony."
“Anthony Fisher is a great man. I first met him in 2009 when I found him on the internet as I was searching for a personal branding consultant. I called him and from the first time we spoke, I found him to be a very professional, extremely competent, friendly, caring person. He has been such a blessing to both me personally and my company. His design ability is second to none. Anthony combines brilliant talent in design and great creativity with an insightful, compassionate but firm approach to life coaching.
He is an extremely valuable advisor to me and I know that my companies as well as personal life have been enhanced because of Anthony. Anthony is not shallow, and his advice is thoughtful and relevant. In two years, he has not been flippant or shallow in his approach to advisor to me. He has developed my personal brand around his in depth understanding of my personal dreams, aspirations and values.
His advice is underpinned by his Christian faith which is very comforting to me. His faith enables his patience and caring demeanor and at the same time, his advice is not judging, passive or filled with “religiosity.” Anthony Fisher has got it right, he sees greatness in me and I am sure in his other clients. I look forward to having him as a consultant and friend for the rest of my life.”
